One is the Waikikii Trolley -Day pass for one route $20 adult $15 child (about a $2 discount if bought in advance on line) All routes $35 adult $19 child Then there is "The bus" -The public transit system. If you have an Iphone they have a free app, and it will use your locations services and go from there. Don't know the route numbers but "Da Bus" is $2.50 adult $1.00 per run (including one transfer within 2 hours). Hope that helps.
Astro Flyer Posted November 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2013 There aren't many beaches in Lahaina other than just south of the harbor area & don't know how you define "beautiful" but I wouldn't call it beautiful. There are several spots along Front Street to view the ocean just north of the harbor, near Cheesburgers in Paradise & also near Bubba Gump's. There's a $2/pp/ow public bus departing from the rear of The Wharf Cinema Center which is across from the large banyan tree adjacent to the harbor. You could take the bus to Ka'anapali Beach (a sandy stretch of beach fronting high rise hotels & condos) & it's Whalers Village shopping center has oceanfront dining & shopping available plus a small free whaling museum. http://www.mauicounty.gov/index.aspx?NID=605 http://thewharfcinemacenter.com/bus-schedule/
slidergirl Posted November 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2013 The #19 or #20 Bus will get you down to Waikiki. From the cruise terminal area, they follow the same route to Waikiki. You will have to walk from your cruise terminal out to Ala Moana Blvd to catch the bus. It's about a 22 minute ride. You can go to The Bus website and see your routings.
