Do we have to use two different carry on bags

Hello all,

 

My husband and I are leaving on Saturday and we each have a 12 pack of soda and a bottle of champagne. My question is can we just put it all into one carry on bag or do we each need to have a separate bag?

One bag is fine. Last cruise we were on a b2b with 4 bottles of wine and a 12 pack of pop. I had it all in one bag.

You can put it all in one bag. My dad and I always bring a 12-pack of water and a 12-pack of pop and we strap it to the top of our suitcase with a bungee strap

As long as you check in together you can share one bag. If you are driving, maybe bring a small roller suitcase to carry it all? That stuff gets heavy!

Do they pull the wine out and check it or do you just tell them it's in there and they can tell it's wine not liquor? I can't remember and we are probably going to pack pop, water and wine all in one roller carry on. So, I just wanted to be prepared if we have to pull it all out at security, then pack it back up. Thanks.

Depends on port and who is doing the check. I had 8 20oz waters and 6 10 oz cranberry sodas and no one really checked. (Tampa)

The last time I cruised they opened the 12 pack of soda, I presume to make sure it was actually cans of 'soda', but didn't check the wine bottles or water.
