Westerdam Drydock Question

I wouldn't be. I've been on at least two "last cruise before drydock", and they were beyond fine. They truly were excellent.

HAL is continually keeping the soft goods up, painting, repairing, cleaning, and otherwise keeping the ship in good condition. Yes, there are things that break; then they get fixed.

Some things require a more extensive fix, and drydock allows time for that. Drydock also provides an opportunity to look at things below the waterline, which can't be done while the ship is in service.

If the Westerdam changes are major ones and they are done in the Bahamas dry dock then I would be concerned. If it is the minor every two year brief drydock stay then don't be concerned. The major changes at that drydock always leave the ships screwed up for a year or two.
