roberts2005 Posted November 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2013 In a little more than a week we will be starting our Bucharest to Budapest trip. This will be our 4th Viking cruise I can't remember the type of pillows provided. Are they heavy foam? Can you request feather pillows? Any past passengers remember. Thanks
RCDR Posted November 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2013 EXTREMELY soft only! We asked for firmer pillows and was given the soft ones lined with a bath towel inside the pilowcase!
jiminyC_fan Posted November 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2013 If I would have any complaint about Viking it would be that the pillows are way too soft, lol. But in all honesty, I do realize we all like different firmness in pillows and they can't please everyone.
roberts2005 Posted November 12, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Are they feather or foam. Will they give you more than one?
CasaM Posted November 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2013 I know this is crazy, but I bring my own memory foam pillow whenever I travel. I just put it in a plastic bag on top of all my clothes. I can't sleep without it!

Me too, except that it weighs a lot so sometimes the airline restrictions get in the way [weigh LOL]
Sparky333 Posted November 13, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 13, 2013 CasaM and jazzbeau - I bring my travel sized tempurpedic foam pillow also - thought I was the only crazy person doing that :p On a recent trip the weight was an issue so I found a travel version of a down pillow which is perfect. Nice to have pillow options! roberts2005 -- my husband did ask for an extra pillow which our room attendant provided. I later saw there was another one on a shelf at the top of the closet. Not foam but not sure if feather or some poly version.

Bill'sBride Posted November 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 14, 2013 We were on the Viking Prestige last month, and the pillows were great, i think they were either down or a great fake down!

Pillows are very good quality. I believe they are soft because the natural down is used.
jan can Posted November 24, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 24, 2013 The pillows are great if you like soft. I think they were fake down but it was hard to tell. I would have bought one if they had been available.
