cruisehappygal Posted November 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2013 We are going to do a B2B on December first on the Royal.. Does anyone have a list of the cost to have your laundry washed and pressed ? Dress shirts are the main concern. We are only Gold, so no free laundry for us:( Thanks for your help Cruisehappygal:p
lynwar Posted November 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2013 I'm afraid that I'm pretty antiquated now. lol. We had actual laundry rooms on the ships with coin washers and dryers and ironing boards. We're platinum and haven't ever used the send out services for laundry and pressing. I used an iron and ironing board to press the sleeve of my husband's suit coat, once. That was more than 10 years ago. So, are there still laundry rooms on the newer ships? Maybe. We'll see if someone knows. Have a wonderful cruise. We'll be boarding the Royal this weekend. Lynne
caribill Posted November 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2013 So, are there still laundry rooms on the newer ships? Have a wonderful cruise. We'll be boarding the Royal this weekend. Lynne Yes, the Royal has laundry rooms for public use. Since you will be on the Royal this weekend, maybe you can come back and post the send-out pricing the OP is asking about. Pam in CA Posted November 14, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 14, 2013 On Golden currently $2 each, quarters. The Royal Princess machines don't take quarters, they take tokens. There's a machine in each laundry room to get tokens.
Zippy2 Posted November 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 14, 2013 I am from New Zealand - do the machines which sell tokens take the ship's card or will I need to buy notes to put in there?
DreaminginFlorida Posted November 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 14, 2013 We were on the 30 day Med/ TA and I have a receipt of one of our services and indeed the costs are the same as Sargent Schultz's posting on the Golden.

kingofnull Posted January 17, 2014 #14 Share Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) What would the price be to clean AND press a suit? $10 + 10 = $20? Or is pressing included in the cleaning cost? edit: just re-read the form, looks as though it's included since 'Pressing only 80% of the listed price'. Pam in CA Posted January 17, 2014 #15 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Just checked the form from the Royal Princess. The prices are the same as the form posted above. The reason why I checked is that some things on the Royal are more expensive so I didn't want to assume that the laundry service was exactly the same. The reason why I checked is that some things on the Royal are more expensive so I didn't want to assume that the laundry service was exactly the same. I thought the above form was from Royal. I figured when I initially read $10 it would be $1-3 more on Royal. Pleasantly surprised it's still $10 - good price to clean and press a suit on board.
