Tahiti Port transfer question - wondering

On the previous cruise the Pacific Princess docks at 7AM. On the same day, passengers for the next cruise arrive at 5:30 AM at the airport (PPT). If you get Princess transfers to the ship, I wonder what they do with you until you can board as I'm sure you can't board at 6:30AM? Any one had this experience?

Here is a notice I received from Princess:

If you arrive into Faa'a Papeete International Airport prior to 6:40am the morning of embarkation, we strongly recommend that you consider purchasing the airport transfer with your option for USD $79pp. The direct transfer from the airport to the pier does not begin until 10am, and embarkation does not begin until 12pm. To our regret, there is no seating available in the airport or pier. The tour begins at approximately 8am from the airport and you will arrive at the pier when embarkation begins at 2pm. Please contact your travel agent or Princess at 1-800-774-6237 for more information or to purchase this transfer. If you have already purchased a Princess transfer from the airport to the pier you can add the tour upon arrival at the airport. The difference in cost will be charged to your onboard folio. Passengers with independent air arrangements are kindly reminded to provide your flight information via the Cruise Personalizer. Thank you for your attention to this notification. We look forward to welcoming you onboard Pacific Princess.

Interesting. If a tour begins at the airport, where does your luggage go at that 8 AM time?

Either

a) On the tour bus if it is the type of bus with luggage compartments

or

b) Princess will get it to the ship while you are on the tour
