Esilef Posted November 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Just reading that they are launching new drink packages on royal Caribbean. I'm really hoping we get them in Australia on our Royal ships. A flyer stated that they were being rolled out fleet wide in mid December. Has anyone heard any more? Does anyone have a menu of current Australian drinks & drink prices on the RCI ships?
Rare mr walker Posted November 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Don't have a menu, but on our recent Voyager OTS cruise beers were Us$5.50 - 6.5, with a large draft Heineken $6.90. Mixed spirits were $7.50 - $9.00 & wine was $8.00 + All prices included 15% tip. I just ordered, signed & drunk - a man is not a camel. Some on board were clearly trying to get their monies worth on drink package

Hi there. We didn't buy the new package as such..... We purchased the premium package a few months ago but now it includes more. If you have already purchased a package and you want to upgrade it you can just pay the difference. Not long now. Steve & sue. Did you book the mystery dinner??? Fiona. Cos my pre-cruise planner for cruise in January 2014 does not have the options for the new or modified packages  Hi Kizza, Yes, it's fleet wide. The website probably hasn't been updated yet. One significant change is that the packages now can be purchased individually. http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk/_images/Royal%20Alcohol%20Beverage%20FAQ%20All%20Ships%20Web%20Nov%2013_tcm16-27947.pdf Deidre.:) Edited November 15, 2013 by barnsey1802

Esilef Posted November 15, 2013 Author #17 Share Posted November 15, 2013 I love the idea of the holiday being all inclusive. I've heard horror stories of people getting their bill at the end of a p&o cruise and having their drinks bill nearly equal the cost of the cruise. Yes it seems like a bug payment upfront but on the cruise it's just nice to know you can relax and not scream at your partner for spending the night at the bar and running up a huge bill! Now hubby can be left in the care of the bartender while I'm off enjoying myself. Childcare for the over 18's!
Kizza Posted November 15, 2013 #18 Share Posted November 15, 2013 I'm the same Esilef, all paid for in advance so nothing to do but relax and enjoy yourself. :)

Steve & Sue Posted November 16, 2013 #20 Share Posted November 16, 2013 It is a non-alcohol package just like the soda package so I can't see why not.

A 17 year old would love the non alcoholic cocktails! Plus save you a heap of $$$$ in their drinks.
SydSailor Posted December 1, 2013 #22 Share Posted December 1, 2013 Royal Caribbean International Beverage Package FAQQ. Can guests book the package on all Royal Caribbean ships? A. Yes, this is now offered across all our fleet for sailings of 4 nights or longer. For North American departures it is available on board only from 15 th International departures it will be available from mid December 2013. Online bookings through our website will be available from mid December 2013. Nov 2013. All other Emailed RCI Aust re online booking for our Dec 29 Radiance cruise. They said the new packages will be available for purchase on board but they weren't certain online would be available mid Dec as suggested on the UK site. Personally this suits as I'd like to see the drinks menu (esp wine under $14 per glass) before committing.
Rare MicCanberra Posted December 1, 2013 #23 Share Posted December 1, 2013 Thanks for posting the drinks packages, I think prepurchasing is better for me asit works better for budget reasons but buying on board has its advantages as well as Sydsailor pointed out.:D
