Noumea in late December

How hot will it be in late December in Noumea and what will the water temperature be like? We are thinking of doing a day tour to Amadee Island. As we will on the island all day, I am just wondering if the water cools you off or are we likely to feel hot all day? At the other ports, we can just tender back to the Rhapsody, for a breather, if its gets too hot.

Noumea is at a similar latitude to Rockhampton in Queensland. I would expect it will be hot. At tender ports, I don't think it is a good idea to to by tender back to the ship simply to get cool then go out again, because of the time the tender operation takes.
