Does anyone know if Sodastream machines are allowed onboard Princess cruises?

I doubt that you'd be allowed to bring the CO2 cartridges (required for the machine) on board. Probably best to leave the SodaStream at home and just buy regular sodas.

Or bring your own - Princess allows you to bring an unlimited amount of non-alcoholic beverages on board.

Bring the containers of Sodastream syrups, and a supply of plain bottled soda water. Just mix the syrup with the plain soda water to your taste as needed. Leave the machine and CO2 cartridges at home.

Unless you are driving, who would want to take the chance of that syrupy mess in your suitcase?

 

We bought one for the office. Thought it would save money. What a mess!!!! Just have to have one sloppy person or not get the lid on tight on one of the bottles and you have a nasty mess.

 

No way would I take one on a cruise, especially if you have to fly.

The CO 2 cartridges will not be allowed due to the risk of explosion. Plus, if you're flying, they are definitely not allowed on the plane. CO2 containers that exploded caused a plane crash a number of years ago.
