Forced disembark for inappropriate comment?

I have recently heard of a older couple where the wife got sloshed and "said something inappropriate" and the couple were asked to disembark the Carnival Dream in the middle of their cruise. Now while the inappropriate comment was never revealed has anyone ever heard of someone being asked to disembark because of a inappropriate comment?

Fyi...

There were many important details not revealed to anyone in this story and we are all aware of the three sides to a story...typically...his, hers and the truth.

Kind of hard to comment on this "OP said he said she said" situation. You heard someone else tell you that someone else said something. Heck, maybe the person that told you heard from someone else who heard from someone else that their cousin knows this older lady.

if she said something like 'I will blow up this ship' or 'the captain better watch out' or something on that vein... yup. I think they would

but since we dont know.. all I can say is that I absolutely believe someone can be asked to disembark for comments made

I heard it from the lady's husband in a chat room elsewhere. Its not really that long of a grapevine.

I would love to know the whole story as well. Myself and others have asked the man for more information on the situation that brought on the comment made but he has yet to respond. Hence, the story has to be missing major parts. He insists that his wife was so intoxicated that she doesn't remember even what she said...so its anyone's guess really.

I agree it could be violence... that was the only real thing I could think of for a disembark.

Considering the things I have seen people do and heard them say onboard that were tolerated, I have to believe that things like this are quite serious to result in being removed mid cruise.

I have to agree with this. Last week on Elation, a lone, female security officer was trying to get a belligerent drunk herded down the stairs, amidst racial slurs toward her, the F-bomb spewing out his mouth and threats of bodily harm to her or anyone else that got in his way. They didn't toss him off the ship. We saw him occasionally the rest of the cruise.

there was a thread not too long ago where a lady was in the casino gambling and losing money. She said... I'm going to jump overboard since I am losing so much money. She said.. They locked her in her cabin with a guard outside and put her off the ship the next port of call. True or not.. I would think the ship takes comments like that very seriously.

I can only imagine, if true, she threatened the well being of another passenger, a crew member, or Carnival property.

I have no idea what Carnival's responsibility in this situation would be but kicking her off the ship at the next port doesnt exactly help anyone

Have to admit I am curious what this remark was to get her tossed off the ship. I am pretty sure security has heard all kinds of rants and ramblings from many many belligerent drunks. This had to be pretty bad to warrant getting tossed off the ship.
