book as single or drop a guest?

Plan to book a med cruise with another couple on the noordam. Looking at an SY suite. DH doesn't want to go but I'm 90% sure he'll change his mind at the last minute. He simply loves to cruise - already told him just to stay on the ship if he so desires. So my question... do I book both of us - and drop DH later if DH really seriously wants to stay at home... or should I book as single and add him later? Never been faced with this before...

Thanks for any help. We are 3 star Mariners not that I think that makes any difference..

Thanks all... I booked - he challenged me that he would only go if I booked the PH... oh well... stupid spending but hey - only live once... personally think I should have just booked SY for 2 and bet on his change of heart - enough said - we'll have an awesome time.. great itinerary... more importantly - I'm happy - it's near to our 15th anniversary and the other couple's 26 anniversary...
