nutley chick Posted November 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) I don't think there are clocks in any cabin. I think you can check the time on the TV. You are on vacation.... no need for a clock :p Edited November 29, 2013 by nutley chick
rvsullivan Posted November 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Suites normally have clocks. Usually at least one on the nightstand.
NoName Posted November 29, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Anyone know if the Penthouse suites on the Gem have a clock next to the bed? It would be wonderful if it was one less thing I have to pack.

valleyvillage Posted November 30, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2013 By any chance is there a clock in the penthouse suites? We have always had quite a lovely clock in our suites. If it is not running your butler will supply a battery!
Love my butler Posted November 30, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 30, 2013 We almost always have a battery powered clock in our suite. They cannot use 120/240v because the cycle is erratic and the time is inaccurate by several minutes per day.
NLH Arizona Posted November 30, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2013 There was a clock on the desk in the aft Penthouse I was in on the Jewell. Not sure if it had an alarm however.

ColinIllinois Posted November 30, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 30, 2013 In my room you could see the time on the phone display.
Da-Painter Posted November 30, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 30, 2013 We were just in an aft suite on the Jewel, we did not have a clock. On the telephone display it shows the time, but is hard to read. There was a clock on the coffee machine, but we could not adjust the time, it was always incorrect. So on tv they cycle the displays, and you can find the time there eventually. In the elevators, they have the time on the displays, but they are incorrect. On the Dinner menu boards throughout the ship, showing the waits in the restaurants, they show the time, but it is also incorrect. Then with the various time zone changes...... Bring a clock. Wrist watch anyone.??? Does anyone really know what time it is?????..

It was on the desk across from the bed. I didn't notice it at first, since I didn't use the desk. Edited November 30, 2013 by NLH Arizona

hpecorari Posted November 30, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) By any chance is there a clock in the penthouse suites? I was in a forward suite on the Sun and there was a clock on the bedside night table. It was also an alarm. I liked it so much I asked the executive housekeeper if he had any extras as I'd like to buy one. He showed up an hour later with a brand new one in a box and said it would be $50.00. I now have it sitting on my desk in my home office. Thanks to CAS it didn't actually cost me anything. I wish I knew how to upload photos here to show you it. You can't really see it but on the glass below the clock it has the NCL Emblem and says Norwegian Cruise Line Harriet They are very nice clocks, indeed. Never thought to ask if I could purchase one, though. I always purchase bedding. Nothing I love more than climbing into bed every night with those wonderful sheets, and that simply divine feather duvet. I have two complete sets. :) My kids used to think I was nuts for buying them, but now they both want sets for Christmas... go figure. :p

Good for you, this was our first aft, really liked it. We had a forward, but you couldn't use the deck much, too windy. :)
Godiva830 Posted November 30, 2013 #21 Share Posted November 30, 2013 The 2 suites I've been in on 2 different ship didn't have a clock. We used our cell phone to check the time and as an alarm or we used the suite cordless phone to check the time.
