Filling in Forms at the Pier??

Recommended Posts

Last year when travelling out of Sydney OPT with the family on Radiance, we came armed with our cruise docs etc and were handed the obligatory health forms and Immigration departure cards to complete. We had a couple of pens but then the issue was what on earth do we use to lean on in order to complete these things (at least in some kind of legible manner) before we reach the check in desk? We managed using a magazine and book we happened to have while gradually moving in the line with our carry on luggage etc.

What do people mostly do?

This year I think I'll take a clipboard folder to use. Didn't want to wait until we were inside at the desk to complete these as if everyone did that it would hold up the line no end I'm thinking.

we have some spare green forms and fill them at home so the only ones we need to fill in is the health forms

When you first enter the terminal all you have to fill in is the health forms..... Once you have finished checking in you can then moved down towards customs and we have chairs where you can sit down and finish filling out the green forms....

I have to say I have a little stash at home so I can have them ready whenever I cruise

We book accommodation the night before our cruise that is a quick walk to OPT. So we can drop off our bags early in the morning (8.30am) we then pickup health forms etc and take them back to our accommodation and fill them in while having coffee.

Now that is a smart traveller !! Grand idea.

Flying to Auckland to meet Solstice out of Auckland on a 14 nighter back to Sydney so imagine lots of paperwork that day! Also does anyone know whether they will be able to sell duty free on the 7 or so days whilst cruising around NZ or will we need to wait until the Tasman crossing back to Aus?

Once they leave port each day they go out far enough so they can sell duty free and open up the Casino. You will be given your duty free the night before you reach Sydney.
