Bobpell, If you decided on the Noordam, Oct 19 2014 Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale sailing (which I recommend), join us over on the Roll Call.

I agree... Definitely port side on westbound sailing.

Westbound balcony owners...which side had the mostly sun?

Was it warm enough to partake breakfast a la balcony?

Thanks

I will add...we are in a verandah stateroom - PORT SIDE - on the October Westbound Noordam cruise! ;) For that very reason.....

If you are taking the southern route ending in Ft. Lauderdale on a Fall TA it will probably be warm enough to really enjoy your veranda. The air might be a bit more brisk if your TA is to Boston or on a more northern route.

If you are considering Noordam or Nieuw Amsterdam, my choice would be Noordam. I have sailed on both and while they are nearly identical, Noordam wins my vote for it's more welcoming decor, ambiance and crew. Such things are subjective of course.
