margeecruiser Posted December 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Hi -- We are booked on Infinity for the British Isles cruise for August, 2014. I'm looking for tours from LeHavre (Paris) that do not go to Paris or Normandy WWII sites. The excursion shown on Celebrity website includes a "Tasting in Pays d'Auge" which includes a trip to the beaches around the Cote Fleurie and cheeses and apple brandy made in this area. Has anyone done this tour and what were your experiences? I have posted this question on the Port of Call board, but thought I might get more hits here. Thanks, Margee
CanWeGoYet? Posted December 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) Don't know if you are only interested in feedback on that one tour, or other tours in general that aren't to Paris. I booked a tour to Rouen with a private company, my son & I as well as 4 others from our roll call. A small tour in a mini van, but transport only - we were on our own once we got to the destination. There are many other destinations offered as well. http://radiotaxi-lehavre.com/img/taxis/brochure-circuits-touristiques-radio-taxi-tour-le-havre.pdf Edited December 10, 2013 by CanWeGoYet? pattibacon Posted December 11, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2013 We did the Wine Immersion cruise last fall, and we did a tour to Normandy with Overlord Tours. It was excellent. The couple who were with us had already been to Normandy so they took that Pay's d'Auge tour and enjoyed it, especially the cheese and I believe a calvados tour.
