Final Payment

We are cruising in mid-March and our final payment is due December 31. Has it always been ten weeks out? Did I dream that it used to be six weeks? Just curious.

A while back they increased the time to 75 days for cruises longer than 5 days. The short cruises remained at 60 days.

I recently received an email reminder from RC that my final payment for our March 9 cruise is due on February 24, 2013. Wrong month, wrong year. It is due Christmas Eve.

That's scary. Someone who didn't know better might wait to pay and have their cruise cancelled.

Some of the bigger agency's request there final payments earlier you can still cancel up to the 75 day mark but they start collecting early. I was able to do so last year as our son was not able to get the vacation time. Not sure why they collect it early just for processing I guess.
