jennyau Posted January 2, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Is the duty free grog much cheaper than Uncle D. Murphy's specials? I was lead to believe that they weren't  Someone else has an uncle called Dan.......I love it! Rare MicCanberra Posted January 2, 2014 #27 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Over the last few years I've cruised a few times on short coastals : Princess : Sydney to Melbourne 2 nights - no duty free Princess : Sydney to Brisbane 2 nights - no duty free Princess : Melbourne to Sydney via Tassie 5 nights - no duty free RCCL : Sydney round trip to nowhere twice - 2 nights each - no duty free Celebrity : Sydney round trip to QLD including Willis Island 11 nights - YES duty free So I'm just wondering about duty free on my next cruise in just over 2 weeks: RCCL : Sydney round trip - 8 nights to Newcastle, Airlie Beach & Brisbane but NO mention anywhere in the itinerary of Willis Island - I'm not expecting it, but we'll see???!!!! By the sounds of it no, but you will just have to keep cruising to find out.:D
keagle Posted January 2, 2014 #28 Share Posted January 2, 2014 This isn't a domestic question so slightly OT but can you buy duty free cigarettes to smoke on board? They don't take them and give them back to you when you disembark do they? First timer here.... Sent from my GT-I9100T using Forums mobile app Royal Caribbean will allow you to purchase duty free cigarettes and smoke them on board. They also sell them at some bars and in the shop that sells other things like alcohol, chips and bits and pieces. The main problem now is that the import rules only allow around 50 cigarettes to be bought in to the country per adult.

Besides the 50 cigarette thing of course but that one I did know sadly. Sent from my GT-I9100T using Forums mobile app
