Elwell Posted January 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2014 I don't walk very well so have to plan my journey from cabin to restaurant/bar/library etc. by the shortest possible route. Apart from looking at each deck plan is there anything else I can find to make these trips easier. Thanks, Jan
DevCruise Posted January 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2014 Not sure the extent of your walking difficulties, however, you may want to contact the NCL access desk (http://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising) and talk to them. Might also help with your embarkation/debarkation processes.
Rare fabnfortysomething Posted January 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2014 the Spirit is one of the smaller ships so easier to negotiate the central scenic elevators link the main atrium and bars mainly decks 6 and 7 pool deck and buffet restaurant on higher decks and main dining room Windows is lower deck aft of ship where abouts in the ship is your cabin as that will be a major factor in your distance required to walk
mypleasure Posted January 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2014 The Spirit is quite easy to negotiate around. Cabin location is key to exactly how easy. The decks you will use most are the one where your cabin is located, and decks 7,8 and 12. As said above let us know where your cabin is and maybe we can offer better advice. garycarla Posted January 3, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2014 Deck plans are posted at every elevator area. And, they will hand one out. Pretty much, go forward, or go aft.

As suggested by DevCruise I have e.mailed the access desk to find out possibilities. I have also just rec'd to-day the NCL brochure which shows a complete set of deck plans and will be a big help in planning my activities, Jan:)
mypleasure Posted January 3, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 3, 2014 Fairly close to aft elevator bank so that is a good start. Aft elevator will have you right outside the entrance to the buffet going up and theatre and main dining room going down. Library is at the front of the ship near Galaxy of the Stars which is a lovely lounge that holds a lot of events and entertainment at night.. To go there I suggest you go up to the buffett and through to the pool area and then into the front part of the ship. This would give you plenty of options to sit and take a rest if you needed to.
