We will be staying at the Hampton Inn on SW 12th Ave. the night before we depart on our cruise. Would appreciate any recommendations on restaurants for dinner in the area. Thank you in advance.

You might consider calling the Hampton Inn and asking them what restaurants are within walking distance, and which ones they would recommend.:) Also, their website names restaurants in the area, and they encourage guests to call them.

There is a shopping plaza across the street from the Hampton. The plaza has a few small restaurants that I have seen people recommend as having good food. One is Thai and the other is more a bar and grill. There is also a burger place, a pizza place and a Subway. Personally, we have eaten three times at a good German restaurant across the street from the far end of the plaza, called Old Heidelburg. They have good food and reasonable prices.

If German isn't what you want, just ask the front desk staff. They can recommend other nearby places and if they are within a mile or two they will shuttle you there for free. Have a great stay.

We just stayed here in Nov. we walked across the street to Slackers Sports Bar & Grill. We enjoyed it....has many TV's with all the games on.....food was good too.

 

Nothing much in the area, but we would stay at this Hampton again......good service
