Many taxi's will be lined up and waiting..Fare should be metered (never fixed flat rate) and will be between $12-15.00..it's a short approx 10 min ride. Very easy to do and no need to pre-arrange transportation for this trip from PE-FLL...Enjoy !!

There will be a long line of cabs waiting as you exit the ship. Like previously mentioned, cost will be approx. $15.00, maybe a bit more if traffic is bad. There is lots of construction around the port and airport right now, so may make things a bit slower but not much.

You can see the port from the airport - that's how close they are.

Thanks for the replies. We sailed on the Allure 3 years ago and I could not remember. We are going at Easter (April 20th ) so hopefully the construction will be done.

Construction is going to be going on for a few years I think. They are building 2 new terminals at the airport, a longer runway and new roads too. That is what our cab driver told us in December.

Yes, at least a few years. IIRC the runway extension project should be completed early next year. That project is causing a few traffic problems on the access roads to the airport as the runway will extend over top of the roadways.
