I'm pretty sure Jaime DeSouza was the most recent CD on the Jewel. However, she just left for her wedding (to Brian Weaver he was a Nickelodeon Host on the Jewel). I have not heard the name Jasper Wade before.

On my July 5th Jewel cruise, Jaime deSouza was the cruise director. I remember on the board outside the theater, it listed this Filipino lady (forgot her name..her nickname was something like Lucky Luz?) as the assistant cruise director. However, I remember Jasper Wade (he looked black) was also the assistant cruise director as well.

You're welcome, Judy. I took pictures of the staff/officers' names from the board near the purser's desk so I won't forget them. I think their contracts are shorter than those of the crew members (an Aug. 1 update indicated another captain once again). If you're staying in one of the suites, please say hello to Mark. He's really one outstanding butler (I think most people will agree). He should be onboard until end of Nov. I heard that some (if not most) staff are extending their contracts till end of Nov. or early Dec. Have a great cruise!

Mark was our butler on the Dawn in the garden villa January last year. I agree he was outstanding. We had Virginia as our concierge and the 2 of them made our trip amazing.

Mark is hoping to go on vacation for Christmas. If he manages to get off during Christmas it will be his first time for many years to spend the holidays at home. It will be a surprise to his family, he is really very excited about it. Hoping it works out for him.
