OnTheJourney Posted January 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Hi, Right now it's not on the website but is listed in the shore excursion brochure. I will be there in the spring and am looking for ideas. I've seen the new part of San Juan on a previous cruise. I thought this Old San Juan tour seemed interesting since it also goes to El Morro. Another tour I thought looked good is the El Yunque Rain Forest Hike. Thanks for any suggestions or ideas! Keith OSJ is very easy to do on your own, We did the Rain forest and really enjoyed that as well.
cindyscruise Posted January 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Is the rain forest hike as strenuous as they say. It says a 1-1/2 mile hike in 2 hours. I did the one to the river about 10 years ago - that means 10 years younger than now.

jasminelee Posted January 12, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2014 also San Cristobal- - don't know where you dock- but if it is right in OSJ, you can do a self walking tour, We easily walked to the forts, rode the frree trolley part of the way back, but it was very crowded (Sunday), so ended up getting off and walking the rest of the way. I wouldn't bother with a ship tour.
OCruisers Posted January 12, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Normally, no problem with taking a tour through the ship because of the convenience ... but, in San Juan it's so very easy to do a walking tour On-Your-Own. LuLu ~~~~
