In NYC public schools are out Feb. 17-21, and April 14-22. NYC Catholic schools are out Feb 17-21, and April 18-27.

We do year round schooling in Rome, Ga so the kids usually get two breaks during the winter/spring. County schools March 14-17 & April 18-25. City schools February 17-21 and April 14-21. Local colleges March 3-7, March 24-30, and March 31- April 4.

At my hotel, this year "Spring Break" is considered from the first week of March until April 27. It's a LOOOOONG one this year, with Easter so late in April. We ought to just say it starts with the President's Day holiday weekend - it's only a 5 day difference :eek:

The Los Angeles Unified School District (second largest in the country) has always taken spring break the week leading up to Easter. It was that way back in the dinosaur era when I was a student, and it's still the same. But I've noticed the Catholic schools in our area usually take the week just following Easter.
