Getting to NY Pier

We are thinking about cruising on the Breakaway in April. We are from RI and do not want to drive to NYC and pay to park for the week. Any advice on how we can get to the ship? Thanks.

Take the train to Penn station and a cab from there is about 10 bucks with tip

If you don't want to do the train, you can try taking a bus into Port Authority / 42nd street and take a cab from there. There are never a shortage of cabs in the city.

Do the same thing in reverse when you disembark.

Another possibility is the Academy Bus that goes directly to the cruise terminal. In RI it has a pick up point at TF Green Airport. The cost is $110 per person, round trip:

Train or bus if you don't want to drive. A car service might be an option, but along that line, maybe someone you know would bring/pick you up for a less $$$$ then a car service, and maybe about what it would cost for train/bus. Sure would be a lot nicer! We paid a friend to bring/pick us up in the past and it ended up being to both our benefit.
