Ruby vs Emerald, any dif in design?

Ruby, Emerald and Crown are sister ships so they are basically the same.

We cruised Emerald, Coral, all the Grand Class, and more with Princess. It's been an even and enjoyable line for us. Now, planning a comprehensive European cruise tour for 5th time. Looks like it's a choice of ports rather than ship based on your post. :)

We haven't cruised Diamond or Caribbean. SIL says they are too crowded. She likes Sapphire best.

Royal P appears to have missed on the design elements we prefer.

Thank you for posting.

We have cruised on the Crown, Caribbean, and Ruby Princess ships. Upcoming on the Emerald. All the same basic design. We decided not to cruise on the Royal because it is missing one design feature very important to us. A continuous promenade deck circling the ship. We love our daily strolls on the promenade and couldn't imagine a cruise without it. Also, steamroom and sauna are spa features on the Royal and you pay dearly for those. Free on these other ships and I use them alot. The Royal has plenty of cool features but we've decided it's not for us.

Do you see a difference in the design of Ruby or Emerald?

Which décor do you prefer?

Is the service, entertainment or food different?

Claire

Design is 'basically' the same... you'd have to be really fussy to notice the difference. Decor is similar. Service, ent. and food.... always different from ship to ship - different CDs, Chefs, contracted entertainers etc. We often book a different ship... well, because it's "different"!!
