Went to Il Adagio twice. We really enjoyed it.

Warm bread and dipping oils. Loved the basil (lower left) and the garlic (upper right)

Thank you for all the pics. They all look amazing.

Loved them all but esp. the ones of Moderno. Never saw pics from there before.

Cheers!

This thread is great. Any chance of seeing more pics of the MDR and buffet foods? We'll be first-time Norwegians this fall, a family on a budget, and probably won't be doing the specialties this time around, so we are naturally interested more in seeing what we're likely to see more of.

Thank you, glad everyone enjoys.

This weekend is a little hectic, but I promise MDR pics in my next post. Don't have a lot but will post what we have.

Watch for updates.

You may find that by the fall the MDR menus have changed. Apparently they are trialling the new menus on the Getaway at present before rolling them out fleet-wide. Reports are generally favourable. I've seen a few pictures of the new menus and they look quite tempting.

The calamari and fish and chips for lunch on the Getaway were very good indeed.

This is a great thread! I will post pics of our cruise in Oct. on the Star when we get back. My favs are escargot and creme brulee at Le Bistro but I have a feeling I am going to have a few more after this next trip..can't wait to try the fish and chips and chocolate croissants!

That would be great if you could post some pics next month! Would you mind posting one night of the MDR dinner menu on the thread as well?

I love the chocolate croissants and the pretzel bread onboard. We usually go to the MDR for breakfast, but I always stop by the buffet...conveniently...and grab a chocolate croissant or four!! And the pretzel bread is great any time...I prefer it in the afternoon.

Have a wonderful trip! :)

I have always said the Creme Brûlée in LeBistro was my favorite dessert. But this past cruise, earlier this month aboard the Jewel, I tried the Hazelnut Chocolate Napoleon, and now I have a new favorite. We went to LeBistro 3 times and I had the Napoleon 3 times. DH had his usual Creme Brûlée the first 2 times and he tried the Napoleon the 3rd time. He still feels the Creme Brûlée is his favorite. Now that I am home, I would really love it if the butler would show up and ring my doorbell, with a plate of each!!

I know this is the picture thread, but ditto to the chocolate "Napoleon". I put it in quotes, because it's nothing like a real Napoleon. It's just chocolate and hazelnut in big layers of total yummy-ness.
