Invergordon

I am thinking of using invergordon private tours instead of the cruise ship for tours.

Anyone know about these folks. Prices compared to Princess.

We used http://www.shorexcursions.co.uk for Invergordon. There were a few bookings with this company from our Roll Call.

The local tourist alliance has a really good guide - see http://www.spanglefish.com/ITA/ - this has lots of ideas for things to do. We hired a car from Ken's garage and toured round (since we live in England no driving worries!). G.

I know this is an old thread, however, someone here may be able to help us.

We are a group of 6 wanting to go from the pier at Invergordon to Tain (Glenmorangie). Is there a bus ? Is there a train ? We could always take a taxi.. but for 6 people perhaps not. Is it possible to take a bus one way and the train back to Inverness ?

Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.

You can get a train from Invergordon to Tain and then either walk (6 mins) to the bus stop opposite the post office on Lamington Street and take a short bus ride (2 mins) or walk the whole way (14 mins) you could also take a taxi from Tain railway station.

 

The train is the Inverness to Wick train that passes through Invergordon and Tain so yes its possible to take it back to Inverness
