Leo Jay Posted July 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2005 My girlfriend and I are 40-somethings planning a 5 day to Nova Scotia on the Carnival Truimph as our first cruise experience. One reason we thought Nova Scotia would be a good choice is that we felt that destination would tend to attract a slightly a more mature/reserved crowd, with less likelihood of young, wild partying types... Anyone have a sense of that? Thanks for any feedback.
Nitemare Posted July 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2005 Shorter cruises during summer and on Carnival usually = younger crowd. Canada/NE should be older than Caribbean, but not necessarily by much
nybumpkin Posted July 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2005 We sailed the five-day last year on Victory. There were a lot of families with kids (our included), but I would say the pax ran the gamut. I really didn't notice many "party animals" aboard, whatever the age. Compared to our cruise on Conquest, I would say that Victory had less partying. We loved the cruise - it was a great first cruise for us.
Host Caroline Posted July 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2005 We did the longer 7-day cruise in Sept and there were very few children but depending on when you are going school starts in late August down here... And the ports are wonderful..
