LBumb Posted January 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2014 They force both to get drink package. Soda card is different story but the sticker is put on one card.
akcruz Posted January 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2014 They force both to get drink package. Soda card is different story but the sticker is put on one card. The new package, introduced in December I think, allows one in the cabin to get the package. To the OP, my DH and I both had the alcohol package. We could take both cards and get two drinks, just needed to have as many cards as drinks. If you only have one card, they will put on drink on the package and charge you for the other. PattyG12 Posted January 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2014 They no longer make both parties purchase an alcohol package. However, the answer to OP's original question is no ... the person with the package needs to get their own drink.
cruisinck Posted January 29, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2014 On Oasis this month my sister had the drink package I had the soda package and we were not in the same cabin and I was able to take her card for a drink and mine for a water. DH and I were able to get each other drinks as long as we had both cards.

My parents will be happy if this is true as we are going on AOTS on Feb 9th.

Many threads on here with specific info on it.
dacsmom Posted January 30, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2014 My daughter and I were on the FOS and one of us would routinely take both cards for drinks. No, all people in the stateroom do not have to buy a package, and they have added more options to make it more attractive. http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/shared_assets/pdf/menus/beverage_packages.pdf
