I got an e-blast from Viking today. An 8 day Rhine river cruise is a little more than "only" $8K pp, because they are including "free" business class air. Business air or not.....I think that's a bit pricy!

But isn't that also for a suite? Those are more than twice the price of an average cabin. So for people looking for a suite maybe that is a good deal. I'm not in that group myself. LOL

If you are in NY, Business Class may not be worth it. Coming from CA, at our age, we cannot tolerate the 11 hr flight in coach. We fly Business Class to Europe for that reason.

As a metric, Vantage charges about $3000 per person for a Business Class upgrade

It is for a suite, but it's for April only, and Business class air is only from 3 or 4 the east coast cities and actually, it's $8746 pp. I realize it includes air, but it's 8 days so that's over $1000 a day pp. I think that's pricy.

it MAY be cheaper to do air on own?I always check both ways,remember,nothing is ever FREE,you ARE paying for it.

 

I HOPE that's for 2 people??seem pricy to me.Check other cruiselines too.I m paying much less on Scenic for jr.suite(but did ny own air).Hope you have a TA too.;)
