Pennipops Posted February 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2014 I have completed all my information for immigration passport numbers etc etc for my self my husband and our daughter. However they want a credit card number and authorization for a credit card for my 13 year old. Obviously she doesn't have a credit card, and I don't see why she needs access to one as I'll buy her the soda card thing. Does it matter if I leave the info blank? Thnaks. I assume this if for your upcoming Princess cruise. They will charge her account for the autotip each day.
satxdiver Posted February 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2014 There is an option to add others onto your credit card which is what you do for children and your spouse. The page you enter your cc number, it will allow you to add them to the one cc.
whatcruiseisnext Posted February 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2014 If you leave the info blank, you won't be able to print out her boarding pass. As others have stated......just put your credit card info in. There will be a box to check that asks if she is the owner of the card. Here you can check 'NO'. Jersey42 Posted February 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Onboard, you can limit how much she can charge to her cruise card. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk Edited February 6, 2014 by Jersey42
GoVikes Posted February 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2014 We always have them remove charging privileges from our younger kids cards once we board the ship.
Rare Hlitner Posted February 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2014 DD used to tell us that "kids are people too" and this is very true on cruise ships. Nearly every cruise line now issues a "cruise card or sea card" to each passenger (including kids). This card serves as the key card for your cabin, a charge card for onboard purchases, and an ID card that you need to get on and off the ship at ports. Kids can use their card to purchase certain products (such as soda and "mock" drinks) but most lines do give the parents some control over limits. When our DD was on a RCI cruise at about 8, she once took several of her friends (all around her age) into a bar and bought them sodas (like a grown up would buy drinks for friends). Had to smile when she told us about it. In subsequent days her friends "bought the drinks." Kind of cute :). Hank
Pennipops Posted February 9, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Thanks all. I will go to the desk and block her from using it as soon as we board! Thanks for letting me know 'how it works' xx
