Advice on booking as we need to find a new TA in uk

Recommended Posts

We're ready to book when the new schedule comes out but our travel agent has retired and we don't have confidence in her replacement. Can we book with RCI direct then transfer it to a TA when we find one who offers us a good deal or are we committed to RCI and their price? We didn't book on board last time and are in the UK.

We've used the same TA for years so we're having to find a new one who will get us the best deal as it's 2 families booking. (Assuming nobody is allowed to recommend one on here?)

We need to book ASAP once cruise is on sale.

Thanks in advance :)

You are correct, the discussion about TA´s is not allowed here as it´s not allowed to post requests/offers to email about them.

I´m not sure about the UK, but in the US you can book with RCI and Transfer to a TA later, but no later than 60 days after booking. So you have a limited time Frame after booking to find a TA.

In the UK you only have 48 hours to transfer a booking to a TA -

Can I transfer my reservation to a travel agent if I purchased my cruise directly from Royal Caribbean?

If you have made a booking directly with one of our personal cruise specialists you may transfer your reservation within 48 hours of paying the deposit (this excludes special rate bookings offered to military personnel), any booking paid in full cannot be transferred. Please read the Terms and Conditions on this form before completing Travel Agent Transfer Form PDF and send it back to us by one of the options outlined on the form.

Liz,

If I book on board but want it transferred to a TA will they do it at that time? I have a cruise in mind and have to decide whether to book it on board when I sail in June or take a NCC and book it with the TA on my return.....

Hi Linda

When you book another cruise while on a cruise the new booking goes to the TA you used for the cruise you are currently on (you can request to opt out of that though, the LA will have that form).

By making your next cruise booking on the ship then you are able to then buy up to 3 NCCs for future bookings :D

Just explain to the LA that you wish to add another cruise onto next year's booking that you have with US TA ..they should be able to sort it out for you.:D
