Royal Princess Questions

Hi,

Just a few questions for our cruise in April. Do they have luggage valet, where you don't see your luggage until after you arrive to your home airport? ( putting it out the night before)

Have there been any issues with debarkation not running smoothly.. ( lack of immigration workers)? Is there a soda package? Pop Choir songs change?

Thanks!

Btw even after 32 cruises, I read and appreciate all the reviews :)

Not sure about the luggage valet, but there is an inclusive non-alcoholic package that includes all sodas, juices, smoothies, etc. Not sure if there is an option for just soda, but I had the non-alcoholic package and it was completely worth it. The bar beside Princess Live makes the best hot chocolates!

Depends where you are debarking from on whether or not everything runs smoothly. We disembarked in Venice and everything was very efficient. Can't comment on procedures for her Caribbean sailings though.

Luggage Valet was available in Oct 2013, and from what I have read, it is still available.

I think what the OP is asking about is EZCheck, not Luggage Valet, a much more expensive alternative and which gets the luggage to your home about a week after the cruise ends..

The luggage service you describe is called E-Z Check, not Luggage Valet.

It is available on the Royal Princes cruises out of Ft. Lauderdale if you are using one of the participating airlines. A form will be put in your cabin during the cruise that will explain everything and list the participating airlines. If you fly out of Ft. Lauderdale, your flight must be after 11:00 a.m. If your flight is out of Miami, it must be after 2:00 p.m. The cost is $20 per person plus any airline baggage fees. Make a copy of your flight confirmation to submit with your E-Z Check form if you can. If you can't make an extra copy, the passenger service desk can make one for you.

There is a program called "Luggage Valet" but that's shipping your luggage to or from the ship, door-to-door, via a shipping company. As said above, what the OP is referring to is EZ Check. FYI, your flight must be after 11:30am in FLL, not 11am. Here's a copy of the form I received on the Royal Princess last October:
