M class cabin opinion

Going on the Summit Bermuda cruise in June. Pretty set on a C1 concierge class aft facing cabin. Which deck?? 9 looks a little more private, tucked under the outside bar, but maybe noisy.. and smoke? Which side is smoking side just above it? OR deck 7- closer to water, maybe better view, but less private??? more balconies looking down on you???Thanks for any opinions. Was going with 6135 along there between the sweets, but thinking I may rather have the aft view. Appreciate all the opinions!

Thanks, Steve

Why not deck 8 -- cabins above and below you. My personal preference is always to pick a cabin this away (avoiding public spaces above and below). We were on Deck 8 aft on the Infinity this fall; great location, no problems.

Have a great cruise!

Yes. Take a C1 aft. That's all we book on the Summit. I prefer deck 8 followed by 7. Never stayed on 9 since I've always been afraid from noise or scraping of chairs from above. Good luck.

We just switched his weekend to a corner FV on deck 7 since it dropped to the same price as our C1 aft. This will be a first for us.

Good luck. You will enjoy them.

I think I can get a cabin in the aft on deck 7 or 8 on the Infinity. Not the outside cabins but in one from the outside - i.e., 7201 or 7204 or possibly 8168 or 8183 (on the Infinity). Do you have any advice (anyone?) Thanks.

Looks like it's after drydock with the new furniture. Were there any loungers or footstools? I'm glad there's a full size table out there. Great for breakfast delivered in the morning.

I'm totally excited about this except I'm wondering if it will bother me that I can't see the wake while seated. I'm short. 4'11".

I would take anything aft on an M class, IMO.

Either of the four will be fine. All the same. I prefer deck 8 since you are a little higher. That's just my preference. You have cabins above and below on either deck you choose.

They are Family Verandah cabins so they will be bigger than the C1's in the middle but without the concierge amenities. There is a divider separating the living area that has two couches and extra tv.

Enjoy.

This is list from 2010 that someone put together:

Here's a list of the "good" cabins to get on the M class ships.

Concierge Class Cabins on M-Class ships... Constellation, Summit, Millennium & Infinity.

Deck 8 has staterooms both above and below. Deck 9 has the overhang & lido above.

CC Cabins - Deck 8:

The “Great” Rooms with larger balconies: People love the aft-facing staterooms (8170, 8172, 8176, & 8185) for the views of the wake and super-large balconies. 8045 & 8046 withlarger “triangle shaped” balconies are also popular.

Best standard (non-adjoining) CC Cabins: 8072, 8074, 8076, 8078, 8080, 8082, 8084, & 8086 (starboard side): Good mid-ship location and non-adjoining (no interior door to the neighboring room which some complain can be the source of noise/light from the next cabin). So, why are they good? Because the inside cabins that appear directly across the hall on the deck plan are NOT really there. Well, of course they’re there, but you would never know it! Their doors all open to the opposite (port side) hall (note they all have odd cabin numbers). So there is nothing (no cabins or service areas) opposite these CC Cabins across the hall …nothing but a hallway wall.

Also good (on the port side) are 8075, 8079, 8083, 8087, 8091, 8095 & 8099: These have the same good mid-ship location & are non-adjoining, you just have a neighbor across the hall.

Need an adjoining room? Look to book 8114, 8116, 8118, 8120, 8122, 8124, 8126, 8128, 8130, 8132, & 8134 (Starboard side): Good mid-ship adjoining rooms. Also, there also are no entrances to the “crew only” area (the large white blank space on the deck plan) across the hall anywhere in this block of cabins!

Location of Crew-Only Service Doors: I like to avoid cabins across from doors to crew-only areas (ie food prep facilities, freight elevators, mechanical equipment etc). They can be the source of noise and/or additional activity. If that matters to you, note that doors to the crew-only areas (shown as white blank space on the deck plans) are located approximately opposite the following CC cabins:

Starboard side: 8052, 8060, 8066 8090 8138, 8150 & 8176 (aft cabin)

Port Side: 8047, 8065, 8069, 8107, 8109, 8115, 8141, & 8145

Rooms to Avoid:

8094, 8096, 8111, & 8115 – Partially obstructed by the dreaded window washing equipment. NOTE: Cabins affected by the window washing equipment vary by ship. These are the rooms on Constellation ONLY. For other M-Class ships check the deck plan listed “obstructed view” rooms to avoid.

8102 & 8108 – listed as “obstructed view”, small balcony, & windows of suite next door look onto balcony.

8047 & 8048 – less private balcony which is visable from the angled balcony of the neighboring room.

Each of the following cabins on the M-Class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Constellation, Summit) have some particular benefit over its peers of the same class -- most often an oversized veranda, sometimes larger cabin or nicer decor. Not all of these differences are accurately reflected in any known deck plans.

:mad:Thanks for the info on the family veranda cabins. Unfortunately it was like a bait and switch with my web based TA. They advertised a great price yesterday but my agent was not at work and I left him a message. Today the price was about double what I saw yesterday but I have no proof and can't get it. I ended up getting a balcony cabin for only fifty dollars more per person than what I paid for an inside cabin so I am happy about that, but wish I had the FV cabin instead. I am not at home and don't have a printer with me so I couldn't print the offer yesterday. Note to self: don't leave home without the printer.

Yes, two loungers, see below.

If it bothers you that you can't see the wake when seated, just face the side of the ship and you'll have awesome views of the ocean. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
