CatlinSTJ Posted February 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I don't know, I was optimistic but especially the appetizers just don't seem appealing for the most part. Next cruise: Carnival Breeze June 2014

Jana60 Posted February 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Well the appetizers sound like the best part to me. I wonder if they'll have this menu you on the carnival sunshine when I leave next week. Only thing missing is my favorite carnival dessert the Grand Marne souffle. But they still have Oysters Rockefeller and escargot. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Forums mobile app Edited February 18, 2014 by Jana60
Jadehenry Posted February 18, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks in advance for the menu order. We're on the Glory in May and also wanting to know the menus so that we can reserve the steakhouse--probably Belize night. If it's not too much to ask, could you also post the time and day of the Past Guest Party, and which night is the second formal night? Have a great cruise!!! Pyxie Posted February 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I've never been on a cruise so I've never tried the old menu, but this all sounds very good. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

JustCruiseMe Posted February 18, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Hi, I am not sure when the past guest party is but if someone can enlighten me I'll be glad to add it but the 2nd elegant night is day six..I'll update everything when I get back and when people let me know and repost everything and hopefully it will be perfect. Thank you for the thanks yous! I know there are some misspellings but I didn't have my glasses! Sorry.
awhcruiser Posted February 18, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I don't see what is unappealing about the appetizers. Maybe the absence of cold soups? People were complaining about them being gone from the new menus. Well the appetizers sound like the best part to me. I wonder if they'll have this menu you on the carnival sunshine when I leave next week. Only thing missing is my favorite carnival dessert the Grand Marne souffle. wantocruisemore Posted February 18, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 18, 2014 On some nights the vegetarian appetizers are really limited. Not sure what my vegetarian DD will do. Anyone know if they have other offerings for vegetarians not on menu?
fuddrules Posted February 18, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Thank you. Too many things to choose from for me:D I was finding myself wanting multiple appetizers and mains on each day. If this is the new menu, I'm all in.
carib1 Posted February 18, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Looks like I will be the one starving! I will only be able to eat chicken and steak each night. None of the appetizers look good, although most of them I would be allergic too. I lost 10lbs on the last cruise, beacuse the choices were so few for me. And what happened to all the desserts? I am allergic to chocolate so the WCMC does nothing for me. I used to love the Tiramasu, but I am allergic to hazelnuts so the Nutella Tiramasu is out for me too.:(

firemanbobswife Posted February 18, 2014 #17 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Now I'm even more excited for my May Glory cruise. A lot of things are from the old menu so it doesn't look that drastically different to me. If there are nights I go without an appetizer, so be it. It will save some calories and I certainly won't starve. There is still 24 hour pizza that's delicious!

mousey Posted February 18, 2014 #19 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks for posting!:D:D:D This change has come about since the last time we cruised so I'll be looking forward to this new menu for the next time. I think it offers lots of choices. I'm not a Vegan though, so I don't know how good it is for them...but I think if you let Carnival know you're Vegan or have specific allergies, Carnival will accommodate to the best that they can. lovestheH20 Posted February 18, 2014 #20 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Thank you. The new selections look like fun. I too was a bit worried, tend to be a creature of habit, but it looks like there are some great choices there. :o

The dessert menu on the 3-day is much larger than the corresponding menus on the Liberty and Glory.
TheCalicoCat Posted February 18, 2014 #22 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I would starve if I did not have allergies. Not much on that sounded appetizing to me & some of it had the opposite effect.
Cruisin 4 Ever Posted February 18, 2014 #23 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I had a very similar menu on the Liberty at the end of January. We were Eastern Caribbean so the port of call choices were different but otherwise, those were our choices. The food was excellent. I've always liked Carnival but it seems they have improved the food quality even more by narrowing the choices. My only real complaint is the desserts are very limited. As you can see unless you like pie or warm melting cake there is almost nothing to choose from. The apps and entree are super yummy though so I usually didn't have much room for dessert anyway.:)
grandmacani Posted February 19, 2014 #24 Share Posted February 19, 2014 I like just a plain garden salad every night before my entree. Does anyone know if you can order a plain salad? I wouldn't die without one but was curious. Thanks
