I kept forgetting search isn't functioning and I tried unsucessfully to do a search several times yesterday.

One can always use Google, usually it yields much better results anyway.

 

To limit searches to CC boards, add "site:boards.cruisecritic.com" to the search query. There is no reliable way of limiting the results to specific subboard but I've gotten good results with searches like this (quotes around cruise line name are important!):

 

site:boards.cruisecritic.com "norwegian cruise line" your own search terms here

I've been waiting for search to work, too. I tried the google thing but got far too many irrelevant threads. Sigh.

I really miss it too. It causes numerous threads starting when you could just search and get the answers.

It's really killing the usability of the boards. I was Googling for some results yesterday and came across a site that appears to be building it's own search index for Cruise Critic. That's got to eat into CC's advertising revenue if it takes off, so hopefully they'll figure out a solution.

Well lets hope the search will be back soon. When you want to go back to an item it is a lot of hazzle sometimes!:(
