Thank you :) I'd try to apply the OBC about 2 weeks before the cruise, but you can probably do it closer.

FLACRUISER99 Posted February 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2014 I'd try to apply the OBC about 2 weeks before the cruise, but you can probably do it closer. That is what RCI recommends http://www.royalcaribbean.com/customersupport/faq/details.do?pagename=frequently_asked_questions&pnav=5&pnav=2&faqType=faq&faqSubjectId=513&faqSubjectName=Royal+Caribbean+Visa+Signature%26reg%3B+Card&faqId=5675

bumbletigger Posted February 20, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2014 I booked my next cruise using points. 3 weeks ago I changed cabins. Before I hung up, the lady reminded me if I want to use points for OBC I need to call them at least 7 days before embarkation. webzila Posted June 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 22, 2014 I redeemed points for OBC about 3 months before the cruise. Sailing tomorrow. Should the OBC appear without any issues?

Yes it should, but I would still take whatever confirmations you have.
beckster42 Posted June 22, 2014 #10 Share Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) When we redeemed points for OBC last month, we were told that the absolute latest with no exceptions that you can redeem is 7 days prior to sailing. The woman I spoke to recommended doing it 10-14 days out if possible (we were waiting for our statement to close to reach the next 5,000 point increment) but said up to 7 days prior it will be applied to your sailing with no problems. We called instead of doing it online too. Felt more comfortable with doing so for some reason. cruisnpat Posted June 22, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 22, 2014 I always try to do my RC points about 2-3 months out so I don't have to worry about it later on.
