dacsmom Posted March 1, 2014 #26 Share Posted March 1, 2014 I am a planner too, if detailed planning makes you more comfortable go for it. I cannot just relax, it stresses me way too much. This is where I see snags: Sometimes boarding is delayed and you may not get on at 11:30 Room may not be ready until 1-1:30 My not have luggage until after 3:00 When I was on the Freedom last year the Flowrider was not open until day
summersigh Posted March 1, 2014 #27 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Look up FOS sailing schedule then google and log onto the "PORT CANAVERAL WEBCAM" and watch a live sail-away. You'll be able to decide how long you'd like to allocate. :D
DrD Posted March 1, 2014 #28 Share Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) There's nothing wrong with planning as long as you know it may not go exactly right. And it's fun. Good old Ike comes to mind: plans are useless but planning indispensable. My strong recommendation is to wear bathing suits on board. You can't be sure when luggage will arrive and when you can get into your cabin. Saves time too, and it seems you'll need it. Wear those short-type swimmers, t-shirt, sandals when you board and you'll be glad. Edited March 1, 2014 by DrD

Not sure if that is fleet wide policy now. A tip for those with OCD, bring several colors of highlighters to mark up the next days compass before you go to bed each night.
