Is there a refrigerator in a balcony room on the Jewel of the Seas?

Yes..there is a dorm cube fridge

It is stocked with items that you can buy. Pop, bottled water, snacks, chocolate bars etc. They are not inexpensive. You can ask your stateroom attendant for the fridge to be emptied so that you can put in your own items.

 

We have never had a fridge that was cold, they have always been barely cool. Not sure how meds that need to be refrigerated would react to the temp.

If you have medicine that must be kept refrigerated, you can have a special fridge delivered to your room. I believe by contacting the special needs department at RCI, you can get that done.

 

I've also read a tip about getting that "dorm" fridge a little cooler by keeping the cabinet door ajar for more airflow.

If you need to keep something really cold you can call the special needs dept to get a "medical refrigerator" in your cabin.

As stated there are coolers which look like refrigerators but operate as coolers. If you need a real refrigerator contact the special needs department.
