AmberTeka Posted March 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2014 We were on the Zenith. Had a great time. But other ships were local, or a short drive away, and then I "knew" them, and on and on.. So. We are booked on the Infinity. Going to St. Barts. (Woo Hoo!) St. Croix. (yea!) Labidee (sp) where I hope to buy a painting that I can hang beside the one I bought in 1973 in Cape Haitian. Makes me feel like I helped. I cherish the painting I have. Any information on that? I know nothing about the Infinity. We have early dining. I worked with a PVP who spent a lot of time with me. Production? Casino? Activities? Thank you all for your information. I checked reviews. Few were in the USA or Caribbean. Seemed it was either Love.............or affection at the worst. Very promising. Thank you all.
rebeccalouiseagain Posted March 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) I LOVE the Infinity. You'll have a wonderful time. The crew is stellar. The ship is beautiful. They do push sails of drinks, specialty restaurants and set up the flea market tables by the pool on sea days and such (yuck!) but that's because the cruise lines have to lure you on with cheap cruise rates and then try to make up for revenue. But I digress... Bistro on Five is a bargain and we went there frequently and what a steal for $5 per person- yum! I'd always tip another $5- why not? I was treated royally so I say- tip extra. We went to Qsine and had a great time. It's just a fun, funky restaurant like no other. Pace yourself though- lots of food. As for the entertainment. They have the production shows with Cirque Du Soleil bits. There are comedians and or illustionists. The crew talent show is always a good time. There are cooking demos, Top Chef type contests, trivia, games, etc. You won't be bored. Edited March 3, 2014 by rebeccalouiseagain
EatonDoolittle Posted March 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2014 Hope you are able to enjoy St Barths. They are not at all cruise ship friendly. Take a look at the first 2 posts on the St Barts board..closing shops and locking rest rooms even in restaurants and bars when the tenders start to arrive. Pretty port, tho, take a walk and get some pix, even if the natives are not welcoming to you.

rebeccalouiseagain Posted March 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2014 St. Bart's is like the lifestyles of the rich and famous! There are so many mega yachts in the harbor. It was like being in St. Tropez France or something. The shops are very she-she for the most part. We spent the day at a resort beach and ran into Steve Martin. So that was kind of cool. I wasn't impressed with that particular beach because the airplanes were flying into the airport. It was called Eden Rock. We rented beach chairs and had lunch Al Fresco. It was worth a visit.
