Nassau Bahamas

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow me and my wife are heading out on Enchantment of the seas to Bahamas. It was a last minute purchase and I really have not had a lot of time to check things out. Our first time on RCI and to the Bahamas. My question is I know I can buy an excursion on the ship or online. But when we get into the dock are there tours that i can get. Just looking for a little tour of the city walking or van is fine. So please let know your opinions should i just book something on the ship or wait and get something when i get off the boat. we are there for 12 hours.

Thanks

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

When you get off the ship, you will be inundated with people wanting to take to on a tour, or take you to Atlantis. You will have no problem finding someone to take you.

There are also many Nassau Walking Tours you can find with a web search. This is one:

You can spend several hours just walking around the port area. Atlantis is a hotel with a casino, if gambling is your thing! They also have a big waterpark...but that will cost you big bucks! There will be tours onshore!

We were just in nassau couple of months ago - excursions on a ship seemed pretty pricy so we just got off the ship, grabbed a cab (plenty to choose from - you can talk about rate before you get in) and driver took us to Atlantis. We got a day pass there (just by main entrance) and spent a wonderful day swimming, hanging out at the beach etc. grabbed a cab back, were thinking of walking around but area around the harbor isn't that nice so we just did some shopping and went back.

Really no need to plan :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks for the input. We ended up getting off the boat and taking a tour with about 8 other people. Not bad for $20 dollars we went to the Steps and thru different neighborhoods and Atlantis. was about 2 hrs defiantly worth the money.
