Just off the Allure!

Recommended Posts

It seems the countdown click is not moving!!! I so need a vacation!!

Mo5aic is a band? What kind of music? I wonder if they will be still on in 32 days?

We are doing the zipline and coaster in labadee can't wait!!

Where did u get the red stripes from? What's in them?

Can't wait to see pics!!!

Thanks!!

Mo5aic is a group that uses their voices to make all sounds. Not the traditional acapella I'm used to, but more unique instrument noises.

Red stripe is a beer brewed in Jamaica. They'll sell it at carts throughout the port shopping area. We enjoyed ours in Margaritaville.

I'm hoping to start getting pictures onto my computer tomorrow.

Yours is the fourth post or review in which smoking by the pool was referenced in the past week. I am getting a little worried. Are there pools where smoking is not allowed? On the Freedom, it was only permitted on the upper level on the starboard side. Are they smoking poolside on the Allure? that is pretty much where we spend most of our time. Thanks again for posting.

I didn't notice much smoke except for when I walked through the smoking area. It's on the pool deck...port side I believe. The open deck with wind made it very tolerable in my opinion. Easy to avoid or seek out depending on each cruisers wants.

We had the most amazing week on Allure. Our goal for this cruise was relaxation and we achieved it! This board was an important part of my planning, so I'm happy to pay it forward and try to answer some questions about this incredible ship. Ill be in and offline today as we enjoy a little more sunshine before our flight home.

For the Western route, which side of the ship (port/starboard) is facing the pier for those ports? Hoping our balcony is facing the dockside...

We always docked on the starboard side. From what I researched, that is most common. There will be life boat practices that change it occasionally though.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like you had a great time. We are getting ready to sail on the Allure in May and I am hanging on every word on these boards. Relax.

There is smoking in designated areas only on the port side of the ship, and they are NOWHERE near any pools. They are behind alcoves.

You will love the casino.:rolleyes::eek:

Another option for breakfast and lunch with a healthier slant on Allure is the Solarium Bistro located at the back lower deck of the Solarium.

Great breakfast and lunch bar (healthy options, granola, fruits, salads) healthy wraps, broth soups, etc. Also has great outward views due to location. Kids are welcome in Solarium Bistro as well. In the evening on Allure this is the area that becomes Samba Brazillian steakhouse.

Park Cafe was our favorite with Solarium Bistro a close second. Windjammer was often packed and typically greasy/salty foods.
