Rare mking8288 Posted March 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2014 Plenty of taxis today on level 2. We arrive early n porters took bags quickly. Quick latitude check in, group 1 boarding. Heaven guests escorted up to ship already. We should we boarding around 11:30 Nothing on engine issues. Whoohoo. Leaving the snow behind. Rare mking8288 Posted March 25, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted March 25, 2014 We arrived PC at 11:30 am, no engine problems n sea was calm to us. Crowds gone off the ship but plenty of folks staying onboard. Rope course is open n sun is out, a but chilly but no snow to deal with, we heard. Food is good and no wait for 6 of us at Manhattan MDR with reservation, right after Rock - a 60 min. show. Jungle fantasy dinner show was well worth the $30 p/p charge. Booked Le Bistro for Friday already since we got extra OBC surprise n will do Moderno tonight. Day 2 was lobster tail in buffet plus seafood, not in MDR - but a bit tough n overcooked. We had pasta n salmon, both good for a late, light dinner. Going to GSC next, no words about skipping n with priority disembarkation, we will go if weather is good. Rare mking8288 Posted March 25, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted March 25, 2014 On our inside, we have two 110 volts 3 prong outlets to use, and two 220 volts outlet if you bring your own adapter to use with since it doesn't have a single cup drip coffee maker w mug like our balcony cabin. Room steward quickly emptied our refrigerator's content the first night so we are storing 3 1 liter soda and 2 20 oz. water bottle, and temperature for frig. is adjustable. Loved the Mango water in the buffet. Tapatalk sent from Nexus 5 via 4GLTE/HSI
meatball_nyc Posted March 25, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Mking Thanks for the info. Glad you guys are having fun on Breakaway! Let us know how GSC goes tomorrow. Rare mking8288 Posted March 25, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Thanks, Robin. Nice aerial map. Will see what's ahead for GSC as water temp is cool n NAssau in mid 70's both tomorrow n Thursday. NCL's iCon app works fine on iOS n Android to check account, book dinner n tours, etc Internet or WiFi is SLOW, download above app before leaving then activate once onboard quickly to use. Capt. Hoyt is running the ship, Dan is CC, great team of officer n crew, steward greeted us by first name n knocked to let us know our luggage was outside the hallway. Small M&G yesterday and officers attended n took some questions, and we chatted briefly with 2 of them in MDR at night as they walked by. Latitude reception is Wed. evening at 7:30 for silver n up. Loving it, regular balcony is bigger inside w sofa bed but outdoor is small. For easy packing, use packing cubes as they are great with open shelves, could use a small desk drawer but plenty of space inside bathroom for storage. Inside cabins are narrower so space for a single airbed is very tight even if it can fit, stick with the upper Pullman bunks as I recall question being asked. Smoke inside casino wasn't too bad. The only problem thus far, too many specialty dining choices for 7 nights, LOL. Tapatalk sent from Nexus 5 via 4GLTE/HSI
meatball_nyc Posted March 25, 2014 #17 Share Posted March 25, 2014 You're welcome. Again, thank you for the tips and info! Did you or anyone you know get any of the wine packages? Wondering how they were. Your biggest problem is which restaurant to eat in every night?? well, sounds like "meatball problems" lol. 70* temps sound like a heat wave. It was 18* here this morning, we're getting snow tonight and tomorrow. Enjoy your Stay on Breakaway and bring her home safe and sound. Cheers! Rare mking8288 Posted March 25, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted March 25, 2014 There are plenty of deck chairs for sunbathing, trick is to go forward n higher up, deck 17 or 18 as chair hogs are nowhere around. We are going to Taste MDR for 6:30 as booked n will check out wine package n post later if we get a cahnce . BTW, AT&T has a stronger signal vs T-Mobile, both LTE/4G on the ship in port, key is to find a good spot. We will bring some warm weather, sun n ship in good care when we return. Yeah, cold n snow, we planned it that way. lol. Tapatalk sent from Nexus 5 via 4GLTE/HSI

Rare mking8288 Posted March 26, 2014 Author #20 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Ebon. Will do. Capt. Hoyt just gave update, plan is to sail toward GSC tomorrow forecast for island is mixed. If not good, plan to head for Nassau instead, overnight? Standby as some might be happier w this chilly wind of 70's. No cooking is good anywhere. Starting to pull up gangways n last trailer left the pier w fresh supplies. Lamb tonight in MDR was good, Indian style. Looks like they may of skipped GSC today. I wonder if the waters were too rough to anchor out. Edited March 26, 2014 by Chesneygirl
