LaTech1963 Posted March 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2014 We are cruising on NCL Pride of America Mar. 2015 with 10 people (3 families with children ages 18, 14, 6, 8). Shore excursions can become very expensive through the cruise line. We do not plan to rent a car but we want to do excursions in each port. I welcome suggestions for successful tour companies in each port or do you recommend booking excursions with NCL?
CruiserBruce Posted March 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2014 If you come over to the Hawaii board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=62 you will see each port covered extensively, and many options in each.

san&zsm Posted March 27, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2014 We were on the Pride of America last September--you will love the ship and the islands! We booked some excursions through NCL, but I also booked some through Roberts Hawaii and Hawaii Cruise Excursions. I was very pleased with all of them. agabbymama Posted March 27, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2014 I too have used Roberts Hawaii, they are great. They have been in businsess for 70 years. You don't last that long by not being good at what you do.;)
UPGrandma Posted March 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2014 Not necessarily and inexpensive excursion, but we felt worth the $$ on Maui is Flyin Hawaiian Zipline. Check out pictures on their website. They do NOT provide transportation. Total of 7 lines, 1/2 mile and 3/4 mile are longest 2. Some uphill walks between lines, but they helped this grandma carry my "hanger".... :-) We did some excursions on the other island with Roberts and were happy, except for one they changed, but TA didn't notify us. Not Roberts fault.
