Thoughts on the Triumph?

What's your opinion on the triumph and would you go on this and the 10 or 11 day cruise?

We sailed the Triumph at the end of last summer and plan on sailing her again this summer. We really enjoyed it, although after the first two or three trips down the slide DS was D O N E because he didn't want to climb five flights of stairs to get to the top again.

 

I really loved the piano bar late at night, after DS and DH went to bed. During the summer, I'm a night owl since it's the only time I have time to myself after having dealt with my husband and son all danged day. I would go in there and there was a regular crowd who came and hung out every night and we'd scream ourselves hoarse.

Was on her before her engine failure and loved her and her crew.

I told my husband now that we will be saving our pennies ... because we will be on one of those sailings. :)

I was just looking at RC cruises 10-11 days and it's about 50 more for a 10 day, and a couple hundred more for an inside cabin, so this is a good deal.

I sailed Triumph before the "incident" and really really liked her. I have booked an August 2015 family cruise and YES I am booked on the January 2016 11-day. I can't wait!!!

Cruised the Triumph for the first time earlier this month. She is a beautiful ship and the crew is phenomenal. Loved it so much we booked her again for 2015.

Our trip last summer was only a few months after the infamous "Poop Cruise" and honestly, we couldn't tell there had ever been anything wrong with it. It was neat, clean and smelled ok as far as I could tell.

I don't want to do the 10 day cruise, just cause some of the ports were doing in Nov on the Valor.

Triumph has a very special place in my heart. I would make the drive to Galveston to sail on her again. Looking at either the 10 or 12 day cruise for my cruise next year with my sister.

We've talked about doing B2B - 21 days! It's going to be long wait til Jan 2016 (sigh). :rolleyes:

Haven't been on the Triumph yet but we're planning on booking a B2B in January, 2016. Great itineraries and about time that Carnival has longer cruises.

Kind of undecided between Carnival and RC for their 10-11 intenerays. Just sucks my DW doesn't want to book anything till November. :(. Just cause we're going to Fla this week and the Valor in November.

Wow, when does your FCC expire? I thought they had to be used by the expiration date.

 

Ok this prompted me to get mine out and read the terms. I always thought you had to 2 years to use them...but in reading mine it says booking must be made within 24 months from date of issuance and cruise within 36 months from date of issuance.

I just sailed the Triumph last weekend and I am in the minority on this ship. I had a wonderful time on the cruise, but I hated the ship. It is so poorly laid out that you were always bumping into people. I have never felt crowded on a ship before the Triumph.

I love the Triumph! First sailed her in Nov. 2012, and then again just last month. To me it just has a "comfy" feel. We really enjoyed the additions like Guy's Burgers, the Blue Iguana Taco Bar - we had a terrific time. Our cabin steward was good, the service in the MDR was great, food was good. I'm getting ready to book another cruise on the Triumph for October 2014! Have to have something to look forward to, and we got an offer from the Ocean Players Club that is very good - $294 for an Ocean View for 5 days. What is this about a 10 or 11 day cruise on the Triumph? Thought it only did 5 or 4 day.

I will tell you about the 10 and 11day Triumph if you will tell me about the Players Club Offer.

 

In January 2016 Triumph is doing an 11day to SJP and then a 10 day back to Galveston. Right now word is you can book this one B2B. We booked the Galveston to SJP hours after the dates were released.

Your turn. I have got offers from players club but couldn't do dates as the conflicted with either other cruises or obligations.....

Post 2.0 Triumph is wonderful. If they would just bulldoze the goofygolf to make room for Serenity it would be near perfect!

I just booked the 11 day this morning for Jan 2016 and I can't wait. No Serenity is kind of a bummer though.
