How to get the best price when booking a cruise.

I am looking to book a cruise with two other couples. I have only cruised on Norweigen but I am open to other cruise lines. Where do I start looking to find the best deals?

"Best price" and "best deal" are not really the same thing.

Generally, when talking about cruises, the best prices are on opening day for booking any given cruise. As the space onboard fills, prices typically rise, with the highest prices closer to actual sailing date.

For the best deals, using a TA is generally thought to be good. Many TAs will offer perks (onboard credits, wine packages, photo packages, whatever) for booking through them, but the price will generally be the same as if you book directly through the cruiseline.
