jackieo Posted March 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Hi there. I wonder if anyone has any good seasickness remedies. I am fortunately not bothered by this but my friend is and we decided we needed to take something with us. Thanks Jackie Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
Elviex Posted March 31, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Morning Jackieo! There were lots of helpful tips etc on the thread called Bay of Biscay, scroll down a bit and you should find it. I found it a very helpful thread! Sent from my iPad using Forums
cavkc Posted March 31, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2014 I use Bonine which I purchase from the US Only remedy I have found that works. I can be seasick on a river, but I took Bonine when we hit the tail end of a hurricane and had 40ft swells and I was absolutely fine.
KBD1516 Posted March 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Most cruise lines have generic Bonine available , usually for free, in the medical office on board Some lines put it on the medical center counter so you don't even have to ask. I have been on sailings where boxes were set out at guest relations deck during rough seas. Walmart carries a little pack of 8 generic pills for about $1.50. Thejuggler Posted March 31, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 31, 2014 It is probably personal, but Stugeron worked for 5 of us on a very small 40 knot ferry in 5m swells between Weymouth and Guernsey. I think we were the only ones who weren't crew who were OK.
jeanlyon Posted March 31, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2014 I don't like the chemical solutions, so I use crystallised ginger. I take it on the way to the ship and for the following 2 days. I used to get very seasick on our yacht. I don't now.
