Your comment about dress reminded me of your video! During your video, there were these 3 guys sitting, all dressed up, and not looking happy, and then you scanned over to another area where these 2 guys were sitting with their wives in polo shirts, looking comfortable, smiling, and happy! I had to play that spot of the video a couple times for my wife!:D

I've already used your video on entertainment on another sour puss reviewer who hated the entertainment! The nit pickers can't say much with your video proof!:D

That's so funny!

As for the entertainment, I posted the link to my video on my facebook page and everyone was blown away by the productions. Several are already looking for cruises on it now. Good for MSC, but bad for me as the prices will probably skyrocket once people realize the value.

Hi tropicgal2,

Smoking is not permitted in the Casino or on balconies. For more information regarding the smoking policy onboard, please visit: http://www.msccruisesusa.com/us_en/about-msc-cruises/news/msc-cruises-enhances-clean-air-program.aspx

Regards,

MSC- It is nice to see you read these boards..problem I find with smoking rules is that it is NOT always enforced..take smoking on the balcony- if I reported to the front desk that my neighbors in the next balcony were smoking and it bothered me while I sat out there, what happens when you call them or even come to their cabin and ask them not to smoke on their balcony, and they , of course, deny smoking out there? Casino smoking is easy to monitor...BTW, tell the head honchos at MSC that if they don't put one of their 2 new 167,000 ton ships in Miami, THEY'RE CRAZY!! If you are trying to make a presence in the U.S., you must compete with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Princess, Celebrity, HAL, and even Costa & Disney ( though Disney only has 1 ship in Miami & 2 big ones in Pt. Canaveral)...I toured the Divina 2 weeks ago, she is magnificent..prices are great, and even itineraries are decent...BUT if you want to compete with the big boys, you need another ship ( or more) in South Florida..personally, if I were CEO, I 'd put the new ship in Port Everglades and sail YEAR ROUND so people have a less expensive alternative other than Oasis & Allure of the Seas, both great ships, but boring itineraries and more $$..BTW, especially now that these ships will be doing European cruises in the summer, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of summer business..many families cannot cruise to Europe due to high costs ( airfare is the killer..)...my friend in Philadelphia just booked the Divina with another couple based on my recommendation for the Nov. 12th 10 night cruise ....I look forward to cruising MSC myself soon..we have done 29 cruises on all but Costa & MSC....

Big Al

For the record, I'm not a smoker. I get a headache when I'm around it, which made me want to cruise with MSC even more because of their smoking policy. It was AMAZING to be in a casino and not leave smelling like an ashtray with my head pounding.

But, what do you want MSC to do? Kick them off the ship? Take them to "Ship Jail"? Make them swim with the fishes? Not much they can do in the situation. It's just too bad people can't follow rules. And if they are your neighbors in the next balcony, ask them to stop or ask if they know that it is against the policy (nicely, of course). If you don't want to, take a picture. There's your proof - but now we are back to what happens next.

Warn the first time!

2nd time, take all cigs., remove the contraband!

3rd time put off ship at next port! Let em find their way home, and ban them from cruising again!

Add to that policing the chair hogs, and its a no brain'er what can be done to build happy cruisers/client base!:D

I agree, the really low sales of this spring will most likely never be seen again!:(

But we will have loyalty points earned giving us at least 5% off the best price in the future, so that's something! (don't forget to join the loyalty club!)

Good luck with that! (It's a lawyer's dream).

I thought I had joined the loyalty club, clicked on it during online check-in. But are we supposed to get a card or a number or something? We don't have anything to show for it. I did send an e-mail to MSC several days ago inquiring about it but haven't heard back yet.

I sailed on March 22. Was I supposed to do something while I was onboard to join? I would think that something like this could be done either automatically or online.

Iowachuck is right, you have to join!

You can join on your cruise after the 3rd day, or when you come home!

It takes about 2 months, maybe a little less, and you'll receive everything, including you onboard spending points for every $200. you spend on your onboard acct.!

Check your acct. after you join, and its updated, to make sure you get all the points you're deserving of! Extra points for on board spending 'is not' for pre-purchased, but 'is' for ordered drink pkges./excursions, etc., and anything bought on the ship!
