tigercat Posted April 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2014 We are going on a Carnival cruise and need to know which of these stops has the longer tender ride. tigercat
obnurse Posted April 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Belize, but some tender boats are faster than others.
lifes-a-beach Posted April 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2014 yep belize. but if you're trying to decide between the two cruises with those respective ports you might consider what you want to do. they're very different ports.

TrqoisWtrs Posted April 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Belize runs around 15-20 min; Cayman about 5. :)

JimAOk1945 Posted April 12, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Belize is longer but I think it's just as enjoyable as the one in Grand Cayman.
tigercat Posted April 12, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted April 12, 2014 My son has made up his mind I think. We are going to stay on the ship for those 2 ports and let the others do their thing. The excursions they are doing I have already done. It would have been nice to do them again but I am now disabled and they are not things I will be able to do again. I am okay with this and am looking forward to a quiet ship. Maybe visit the spa, we'll see. He is happy with his decision. Thanks for all the replies. tigercat
momofmeg Posted April 12, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Normally Belize but once when waters were very choppy it took along time in Grand Cayman. I got sea sick from that and one poor woman actually vomited. In Grand Cayman you can see the port-in Belize you see it wa-a-ay in the distance. momofmeg Posted April 12, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Belize is longer but I think it's just as enjoyable as the one in Grand Cayman. I actually enjoy that tender! it is an "excursion" in itself.
Rare mitsugirly Posted April 12, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 12, 2014 This is the ship sitting out in the ocean from Belize: Every time we have taken the tender, it has been around 20-30 minutes depending on the choppy water. This is the ship at Grand Cayman: Grand Cayman was a 5 minute ride tops. Both pictures were taken standing at the port. :)
Ehpride Posted April 12, 2014 #12 Share Posted April 12, 2014 In Grand Cayman, it takes longer to load the tender than it does for the tender to get to shore. Belize is longer. Maybe 15 minutes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
