deladypilot Posted April 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Room service will deliver a bottle anytime. You can also order bottle in advance through http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/gifts-and-more and have it waiting on you when you arrive About 1/2 way down you will see a pdf file you can open with the full wine list. rochelle_s Posted April 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Lots of options.... You could order a bottle through room service. You can purchase a bottle at any bar or restaurant and bring this back to your cabin. If you have any wine left over in a restaurant (partial bottle), this to can be brought back to your cabin. You can bring wine on the ship with you and pay the corkage fee when you board. You can pre-order wine as a gift for yourself through the NCL website. There are wine packages where you can order 4, 6 or 8 bottles of wine. These work out to a starting price of about $22 per bottle for the most reasonably priced package selections and go up from there. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise and your vino. Cheers!! Rochelle PS..sorry for the duplicate inof ..we were typing at the same time. Edited April 12, 2014 by rochelle_s
MBprincess Posted April 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Really except for during the muster there is really no time or place someone won't bring you an alcoholic beverage :D
B6ConMe Posted April 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2014 We do this all the time, get the Viva Vino package, ask our steward to empty the fridge, bring a couple of wine glasses from any bar, and there you go. Wine in your cabin and wine available for dinner in any dining room just by asking and handing in a coupon which you get when you purchase the package. kylenyc Posted April 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) Hi, can you tell me when the Viva Vino package is made available for purchase? At embarkation? Yes on embarkation day. There will be a table set up (location depending on ship and port). Just ask about it. On Jewel recently they said day two also but I wouldn't count on it. The wine package is a good deal and includes corkage. You'll be given vouchers which you can present at any bar or restaurant. If you don't finish your bottle, you can ask for the wine to be corked and stored for you. You'll be given and ticket which you can present at your next restaurant/bar, or just bring it back to your cabin as you please. garycarla Posted April 17, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Lots of answers above. You can also just buy a bottle at any bar or restaurant and take it with you. Or you can buy a bottle, then take the balance to your room. No problem at all.
pinkpanther52 Posted April 20, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 20, 2014 Thanks for this info. I was considering the UBP but this looks Much better. I mainly drink wine but enjoy a cocktail on Holiday. If I get the Viva Vino package I would have to drink about 28 cocktail!!!! to make it more than the UBP. Lets hope it is available on the Epic from Barcalona. newmexicoNita Posted April 20, 2014 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) I want to sit on my balcony and drink some wine with my wife. Can I buy a bottle of wine and have it in my cabin? How does this work? Thanks! Jack We buy the wine package. You can drink it anywhere on the ship: get it from a bar, at the table or delivered to your cabin. Depending on the plan you take it runs about $90 to $125 for 4 bottles. Now I read the other answers, should have read them before. It looks like you have your answer. Chudley Posted April 20, 2014 #13 Share Posted April 20, 2014 Thanks all! We are planning on getting the 4 bottle package because we like to have a glass or two on the balcony. I think the 4 bottle package is about as reasonable as you can get. :)
